What we are all about, and then some

RiffWar was founded in January 2011 by two college age guys who simply loved to rock. Both self-taught musicians, they spent plenty of time perusing the internet for teaching resources, but trying to find something that wasn't a virus or Japanese pornography was, well, difficult. Thus they decided to form an internet database of rock material - sheet music, tutorials, samples - everything budding musicians like themselves might need in order to better learn their craft and the spread the thunder of rock around the globe. And then they decided to do one better - to offer old rock warriors and neophytes alike a chance to test their shredding, strumming, or shrieking skills against one another, and prove their worth to the world. But despite the fierce competition, RiffWar was, is, and always will be a haven for rock musicians to unite in their passion for musical thunder, for the young artists who have just picked up their first guitar, and for rockers of all stripes to share their work with the world.

So I took up guitar when I was 16 and I haven't put it down since. some people who inspire me include Eddie Van Halen, Matt Tuck and Herman Li.
